Aesthetic treatment was carried out following the completion of structural conservation, using reversible materials and controlled techniques. The intervention aimed to reintegrate losses and restore visual continuity while preserving the legibility of the original surface and respecting the artwork’s material history.
Application of final varnish (Lukas, glossy finish)
Filling of losses with pigmented putty
Inpainting using the rigatino method
Chromatic reintegration was intentionally discernible at close viewing distance and fully reversible, in accordance with contemporary conservation ethics.
